How to create custom/vanity name servers on Solid control panel

To create custom/vanity name servers within your Solid control panel follow the below steps. 

  • log into your control panel at solid.zadns.co.za
  • In the left hand menu navigate to Account Menu > Spaces.
  • Click on the hosting space you wish to create the custom name servers for.
  • Click on 'name servers' under the settings menu to the right.
  • In the drop down menu select Override Host Settings.
  • Change the name servers to the desired custom name servers and save. for example ns1.mydomain.co.za

Once you have created your custom servers within the control panel you will need to create a corresponding A record under the domains DNS pointing the the name server IP address.

If you are using our mydnscloud.co.za name servers, you can use the below IP addresses for the required A records.

ns1.mydnscloud.co.za - 197.81.205.93
ns2.mydnscloud.co.za - 156.38.148.132
ns3.mydnscloud.co.za - 102.67.141.157
ns4.mydnscloud.co.za - 197.81.192.251
