This guide assist with setting optimal Object Cache Settings for your WordPress website based on our extensive tests and benchmarks.

WordPress optimization goes a long way in improving the performance of your website and despite what 99% of end users think, hardware is not always the fault of a slow performing website.

Your WordPress theme, plugins and version of PHP will significantly affect the speed and performance of your WordPress website before anything else.

We use and offer Litespeed Enterprise web server with all of our WordPress hosting packages and recommend using only the Litespeed cache plugin.

Our recommended Object Cache type is Redis and this can be configured on the Litespeed Cache > Cache > Object page

On the Object Cache Settings page set :

  • Object Cache : On
  • Method : Redis
  • Host : /home/yourusername/.redis/redis.sock
  • Port : 0
  • Default Object Lifetime : 360 - 3600 Seconds
