Domain Status Showing as "Inactive" in DNS Manager

This guide explains why your domain may display a "Status: Inactive" notification in the Client Services Area DNS Manager.

Status Inactive

The "Status: Inactive" notification will be displayed when the domain name added to the DNS Manager is not making use of the below name servers:

Nameservers

  • ns4.mydnscloud.com
  • ns3.mydnscloud.com
  • ns2.mydnscloud.com
  • ns1.mydnscloud.com

If you would like to manage your domain DNS via the Client Service Area DNS Manager, you will need to update your domain name servers to the ones listed above.

Please follow the below guide to update your domain name servers:

https://client.absolutehosting.co.za/knowledgebase/279/How-to-change-name-servers-on-a-domain-name.html

NOTE: If you are seeing the "Status: Inactive" notice but your domain name is making use of the correct name servers listed above, please ignore the "Inactive" notification as it will unfortunately take quite some time for the status to change to "Active".
