Two factor authentication works by requesting a unique code from the client after logging into their account.

This code is either generated on one of the supported Free 2FA Apps or hardware token.

If you loose your device, or no longer have the cell phone number linked to your profile then you must use the backup code that was generated at the time of creating the initial Two Factor Authentication.

If you have lost access to 2FA and your backup code then you will need to contact us and request removal of 2FA on your account.
This process requires proof of ID and confirmation of the services listed on your account in order to verify the request and meet our security requirements.

Important information about backup codes

  • Backup codes can only be used once.
  • Backup codes are not an OTP.
  • Backup codes are single use and replaced after being used.

Keep your backup code safe, as it allows you to regain access to your account when you are unable to authenticate.
