We provide free Website Migration and Mail Migration for all new clients who sign up with Absolute Hosting.
After purchasing a hosting package from us, send in a ticket requesting the migration of your website and email to your account with Absolute Hosting along with the following details :
- URL for your control panel with your current provider.
- User name for your control panel with your current provider.
- Password for your control panel with your current provider.
To avoid unnecessary delays in completing your free migration ensure that the usernames and passwords that you provide us are correct. If usernames and passwords are not correct at the time of attempting to complete your free migration the free migration will be aborted and you will need to order a paid for migration as per the Account and Service Migration guide.
We will also need access to where ever your domain names are managed, in order to allow us to update name servers as soon as your migration is complete.
- URL for the client service area or control panel where your domain names are managed
- Username and password for above
- Password for above
If 2FA is enabled with your current provider, you must be available to send us the 2FA login.
If you made use of any website builders when building your website please reach out to us before you purchase a hosting package as this would affect which of our hosting packages would work for your website.
If you set up the transfer for your domain to us please ensure that you only complete the transfer for your domain once we have completed the migration of your website and emails. Completing the transfer or updating the name servers for your domain too early would lead to your website and emails not working as it would resolve to Absolute Hosting's servers where the migration has not yet been completed.
After a migration is complete the client is responsible for testing all websites to ensure that they work as intended and without issue. In addition the client is responsible for confirming that data has been migrated including all email data.
We accept no responsibility for loss of data.
There are limits as to the number of website and email accounts that we can migrate, and these can be read in the Account and Service Migration guide.
